CCSD Celebrates National Signing Day Student Athletes

Fifty-four Cherokee County School District student athletes this week signed commitment letters to compete at the college level!

The students were honored with ceremonies at their high schools to celebrate their signing of National Letters of Intent.  This week’s National Signing Day was the earliest day on which high school seniors can sign a binding commitment to play competitive college sports other than football.

“Congratulations to all of our student athletes on this impressive achievement earned through your longtime dedication to your sport and your education,” Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian V. Hightower said.  “Thank you to our coaches for your investment in our students and congratulations to you, their families and your teams’ volunteers and boosters who supported their success.  We wish each of our student athletes continued success both in the classroom and in their athletic arenas!”
