Opportunities

North Georgia Military Recruiting Event - Students in 9th - 12th grades
Students and their families are invited to the inaugural North Georgia Military Recruiting Event to learn more about full- and part-time military service opportunities. Instead of reading about military service, this event will allow attendees to experience various service opportunities for themselves. This unique event will provide an up close and personal look into the future tech, engineering, medical, advanced thinking, aeronautical and other career possibilities of five U.S. military service branches. Representatives from the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Space Force will be available to discuss Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve service opportunities and provide details on the type of benefits members can expect to receive by serving our Nation. Attendees will also have an opportunity to view various military aircraft, vehicles, virtual reality simulators and more.  Attendance to this event is limited, so do not delay registration. To register, use the QR code on the flyer or visit https://forms.office.com/g/NaSS3W0N7r.  Click here for additional information.

GSBA's Youth Advisory Council - 9th, 10th, or 11th grade students can apply
GSBA's Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is now accepting applications for 2025. The YAC is a student leadership program formed by GSBA to give high school students the opportunity to provide meaningful input to school board members and aid them in their decision-making. In addition, YAC members will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and contribute to their community by affecting positive change for students across Georgia. Applications are now open and will close April 18, 2025. You can find more information on expectations, meeting dates, eligibility and more here: Youth Advisory Council - GSBA
