About Creekview High School

The Cherokee County School District is a rural/metro district which encompasses more than 423 square miles; it is one of the top school districts in Georgia.  Located about 40 miles north of Atlanta, Creekview High School is one of 6 high schools, 7 middle schools, 23 elementary schools, 5 STEM academies and 2 Fine Arts academies, one alternative school for MS/HS, one online iGrad Virtual Academy and two preschool centers in the 10th largest school system in Georgia.  CCSD is one of the fastest growing districts in Georgia.  Creekview High School and CCSD is accredited by Cognia since March 2022 as a School System of Distinction.

Creekview opened its doors for the first time in August of 2006 with a student body comprised of ninth and tenth graders.  Eleventh grade was added for the 2007-2008 school year, and our first senior class graduated in May 2009.

Creekview is currently a school of AP STEM,  AP STEM Achievement, AP Humanities, AP Humanities Achievement, and an AP School of Distinction Honors.  It is also ranked in the top 100 high schools in Georgia.  Creekview has been named to the US News and World Report's "Best High Schools" 2022 list and is home to the 2018 International Rocketry Challenge World Championship Team!
